LOOKING FORWARD TO NEW & GREAT THINGS
The WFTW Trujillo 2009 team arrived safely in Lima, Peru and has had a wonderful time getting acquainted. God has done so many exciting things to get each of us to this point. Our theme verse is Is 43:19 "Behold, I will do a new thing..." and we are certainly looking forward to cooperating with all He has planned for this week. Today we attend Calvary Chapel-Lima and hope to share God's heart for disability ministry. Then we fly to Trujillo to begin the wheelchair distribution. There is still some concern about getting the last two of the 4 shipping containers released from customs so the wheelchairs can be transported to their final distribution locations for all three teams ministering this week in Lima, Arequipa and Trujillo. So we would sincerely appreciate your prayers for God to remove all the roadblocks so that we can effectively offer New Life in Christ to multitudes of Peruvians.

Dear Friends and Ron,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your help and support in prayer for my trip. God bless you. I'm, having a wonderful experience. We had a wonderful prayer meeting last night. We are now headed to a church in Lima. We will leave this afternoon for Trujillo and our mission. The wheel chairs have arrived and gotten through customs so all is a go if I can do my part. Again thanks for your help in making this happen. God is blessing.
Love to all,
Judy
Praying for you from here in Ohio! Hoping all the containers have made it through and you are able to minister freely. Praying also that Richard is well and over the bug he was fighting!
ReplyDeleteWill continue holding you up to the Lord.
Love you guys,
Jeff and Debbie
Dear Ron and Friends,
ReplyDeleteLIfe is interesting in the Christian world. We went to church in Lima on Sunday morning and then to the airport to fly to Trujillo. The airlines decided we owed them another $170 if we wanted to fly so we spent the afternoon sitting around the airport with the luggage except mine and one other lady who got our luggage on board before they decided we couldn't go. Therefore, my luggage beat me to Trujillo. We finally got out at 8:30 instead of our original time of 4:00. We finally got here around 10:00.
Today we processed 9 people at our station giving out wheel chairs. There were 41 people given wheel chairs in all and 32 decisions for Christ. God is good and He is moving in Peru. The people were very loving and appreciative. We shared the love of Jesus with them and they shared much love back. My spanish is getting better but still has a long way to go. Tiene usted a Jesus en su Corazone?
(Do you have Jesus in your heart?
There was a construction corner with men working to cut foam and wood as to the orders of the physical therapists. We had two ladies sewing what needed to be adapted and a table full of gifts including wheel chair bags, seat cover cushions, teddy bears, gum, and various other items people brought to share. God is good all the time. Thank you for this opportunity and God bless the senders.
Love in the Lord,
Judy Egleston
